Started a new one,36 cal. My 12 year old son wants a squirrel rifle.

hey I am building something similar with the brass version of that lock. I hope it goes well for you.

Got the ramrod whittled down in about 8 hours, soldered the pipes and under rib on. Best news of all, I made a drill bit extension and drilled a straight ramrod channel. Post pics of everything tomorrow, popped out from work and gun building.

That Davis lock is an excellent one and is a very close replica of one that turns up on original Ohio rifles from time to time.
