A few weeks ago I was talking with Ed Cain at Cain's Outdoors, West VA, about TC primitive rear sights for the Hawken, that they weren't the most attractive sights in the world, etc...he said it was about time somebody did somthing about that and said he'd look into it, etc.

I never thought any more about it and to my surprise, I got an Email from Ed today...he has designed and made an alternative approach for a primitive rear TC Hawken sight...check the link below:

Looks to be a far cry better than the T/C primitive sight base. If I don't like the ones from TOTW, I may have to give this one a try. :front:to Cain's

I emailed him back to get the precise measurements hole to hole...older barrels had one measurement, newer barrels have a different measurement...I assume he made it for the more recent production barrels but want to know for sure.

Let us know what you find out. Thanks RB!

Got an Email back from him this morning and he was #$%@# !!
Said he went to measure the holes for me and discovered the place that made them for him drilled them out of specs...he's temporarily pulled them off the Web site and is having new sets made...
