Hello fellas!

I've been away from any kind of muzzleloading for about 30 years, but as of late I've had a hankerin' to explore it again.
I figured the best way to approach this was to find a forum with fellers that had a solid background in this way of life, and learn from them.
I've been a shooter and sometime hunter for about 50 years now, so I'm not exactly inexperienced behind the muzzle of a gun.
I'll be looking to purchase a rifle, and the early leader is the Lyman GPR. I'm also a "southpaw", so this does figure into my thinking. Also the price of these rifles works into my budget.
Another factor pointing towards the GPR is the availability of the receiver sights offered by Lyman. These old eyes need all of the help they can get.
I hope to learn much here, and maybe offer something to the discussion.
Take care!

Steve

Steve,
Welcome to the MLF, glad to have you with
us. You have certainly come to the right place
to catch up on the ins and outs of B/P shooting
etc. Hope you will visit often and contribute
when you can.
Again welcome and stay active
I am snake-eyes :hatsoff:

Howdy Steve, welcome to the M/L forum. It seems there are quite a few of us who got into B/Powder years ago, gave it a rest and now are jumping back in with both feet.
A good friend of mine shoots a Lyman GPR and he is quite happy with it. GW

Hi Steve, and welcome aboard! You picked a great time to return to muzzleloading. There has never been such a great variety of goodies as we have today! C'mon in and grab a seat. :)

Howdy Steve! :hatsoff:

Welcome to Blackpowder Annonymous... er.. the Muzzleloadingforum.

I have 2 GPR's, a .54 flinter and a .50 caplock. I love 'em both. Hard to beat these rifles for the money.
