That is a beautiful rifle; you will be very pleased with it. I've got more than one TVM and like them very much.

Oh yeah, me likey. Hope it brings you years of sulphur filled fun.

Fixed it.

Looks nice so far. Looking forward to more pics and the range report.

OK, Finally got my little girl out to the range, well, actually the hunt club. Ran about 30 rounds of shot through her. Never missed a beat. Shot perfectly. Started with about 70gr of 3f and an equal amount of shot. It was interesting. Did have some holes in the group. I bumped up to about 80gr and an equal amount of shot. Seemed to fill in the holes quite well. I was consistently breaking clay birds at 20 and 25 yds, and 4 out of 5 at 30. I think that will be good for squirrels, but I still have some work to do. My initial loads consisted of powder, ball of tow with a touch of lube, shot, and an over shot card. Decided to try a few balls before I quit.

It was HOT!!! So only tried about 5 patched rb's. Don't have any 60cal, so I used .575 and a really thick patch. Shot a pair just to see how it would go, and then shot three for a brief "pattern" from 25 yds. First two were touching about 3" low, and third was about 3" high. Great first day, but so much to learn. Will work with some chewed rb's, or some with wads. I was sweating all over the place, but had a great time.

Now a few more pictures

I am really jealous now. I merely mentioned doing some gun swapping today and almost got lectured to death. I guess a smoothbore for me is going to have to wait a bit.
