Good day,
I only just learned of this group today and rushed over to sign up.
Being a fan, as far back as The Daniel Boone TV series, flintlocks have always caught my eye.
I am also a C&R collector.
One day I was visiting Glenn Mattox's shop in Post Falls, ID (RIP, good sir), and he produced a flintlock made by John Braxton, it is beautiful and I purchased without hesitation. Prior to his passing, Mr. Braxton identified the rifle as his work, and the rifle is signed.
Believing that what I paid for the rifle is far from its true value, I am on a quest. You see, I have nobody to whom I might one day leave this rifle, so I will eventually be looking to rehome it. But for now, I hope to enjoy the like-mindedness of this group.
I will post more photos of the rifle elsewhere in the forum.
Thanks for having me along.
