I shot pistols as a kid with my Cous in manorville on thier farm. Tossing the idea to extrend my hunting opprtunities.But yes I'm a newb to muzzleloaders.

If you're interested when the weather warms a little and if you don't mind driving to East Hampton you are welcome to shoot one of my flintlocks.I'll provide rifle,powder and ball.Just cost you the $5.00 guest fee to the range.Glad to share any info I've gained over the years.

PA 1740 many moons ago I worked in New Paltz on a project. The fella I worked for bought up alot of stuff & our quarters were on Harolds honey bee farm,with the bears on 55.

Do you recall that place ? Are they still operating ?

Thanks All for the warm welcome. I gotta be honest,I love all this stuff on this forum. The muzzleloader idea,is overwhealming to me now that I have found this site,because there is so much here. The Persona sub forum has my attention. My wife is our Boy Scout Troop leader hear in our community and the cooking sub forum has so many open fire & the like,ideas for me.
