A while back a gentleman posted a couple of bull horns for trade in the classified ads. He was having issues with posting pictures… anybody remember this? Well anyhow, I thought I’d take a chance and inquire about them. I did, we exchanged phone numbers and I called him. Matt was a joy to talk with and man of his word, we struck a deal and what I received was far more than I ever expected ( no pictures remember?) I received one large bull horn, nice twist, one medium to smallish horn with an intersting brown color and one small horn to be made into a priming horn. Anyhow if anyone would have reservations about dealing with LME ( that’s what he goes by here) don’t worry and don’t hesitate. A great guy and a man of his word and a new freind as well. He still has one more horn to match the large one I received from him and I’m sure it’s just as beautiful as the one I received from him.
Thanks again Matt!
Kary

I hate to post this but I got the best of our deal! Kary sent me a bunch of cleaning and shooting supplies . The weird thing is it was exactly what I was looking for,how did kary know ? He also sent me a check to cover shipping cost and it was over my cost? I am really wanting to go shoot some this week end, Thanks Kary and yes we are friends!

One of the pleasures of the Dixon's Gunmaker's Fair is the big tarp piled with hundreds of cleaned horns. Guys would sit there handling and surveying just the right horn to take home and work on. Nice that your experience was so good. Lots of fine people on this site, I expect.

I have an old book from the 1880's that is an instruction manual for de-horning cattle. I'd not make a good Farmer, too much hands-on stuff! I like sausage but like they say, don't want to see it being made!
