New knife handle

I bought this bowie and found the bone handle to slippery for me and the blade was super shiney..Got the bug to rehandle it with an elk anter handle and I etched the blade in acid to darken it also added a brass endcap to the handle..

nice work I kinda did the same to an old case xx , had no handle! Used an elk tine and brass pommel. I'll have to find it and get a pic

Thanks all..I have alot of elk antler and been looking hard at a few of my knives wondering if elk handles might look better on them..

Try burning them, then sand them down. I really like that look.
