New member, inherited a CVA big bore mountain rifle kit

I am a new member and inherited a big bore mountain rifle kit for my grandpa and I'm trying to learn as much as possible.

Howdy from North Texas and welcome to the forum! I was born and bred on the Muddy Red.
My first muzzleloader was a CVA Kentucky rifle kit I got for Christmas as an 8th Grader in 1979. I put it together in my shop class.
I dreamed of the big bore 58 cva later made.

Welcome from KY. I got my first kit at 14. You are in for a great time. Can you still shoot at Rampart range?

I'm not sure if you can shoot there haven't been out in a while. I wish I had a place to put rifle together but I don't have any of my tools or a garage to operate in unfortunately.

Welcome to the forum! Something you should know, those CVA Kits are dangerous. Sooo dangerous that you should probably ship it to me to dispose of properly! But seriously, the CVA Mountain Rifles are great shooting rifles. Once you get it going you will thoroughly enjoy it.
