I thought what I have is the Remington Sheriff's model but find it's a copy of the New Model Single Action Belt Revolver. This is a .36 cal Remington that is in all respects except caliber the same size as the .44 Army. This gun was made by Pietta and is date stamped CL - not that old (2014) but I can't find any info on these. The .36 listed on Pietta's page is the called a the Sheriff's model. Wiki article says this full size .36 is the belt pistol. Anyone seen these for sale or in ads? I imagine parts would be the same as the 1858 .44 and I do have two extra cylinders but am curious about when they were offered and what there were called.

Frame is same between the two. Sheriff is 44.
Both are well balanced shooters. I find .380 ball works best.
