WADR, I am not a fan of the Nessman design. It is either a great skinning knife, or a good small spade, depending on whether it holds and edge or not. The blade is too wide for tight work in gutting and skinning out small game, and even most whitetail deer.
I think a better designed blade is the Canadian Belt Knife, by D.H. Russell, made and sold by the Grohmann Knives company in Nova Scotia.

The two knives are similar in the bellied shape, but the Russell design allows for a wider range of work with the knife. The pronouced narrowing at the back of the blade allows for a firm grip in the fingers when everything is covered in blood and body fluids. The knife does not slip in your hands and cut you, too!
Having said all that, I think you did a fine job on the knife, and on the sheath. :hatsoff:
