I just finished this last night although I may add 2 brass pins later to make it appear conventional.
It starts with high carbon steel banding strap. I folded one end over and silver soldered to add strength for the nipple wrench end.
Then I cut the finger grooves for a better grip and for the handle I used quarter inch poplar and cut a center groove to slip the blade into using a fret saw. The handle was roughed up and slipped into the wood with a little Gorilla glue and clamped. The stain is my own brew using food colors and locked in with clear finish.
