New Pedersoli Bess

Hey I thought some of you guys might be interested to know that Pedersoli is strongly considering making a 1st model Bess to be out sometime late 2006. One of the fellows on Roger's Rangers Battalion Dispatch told of this and an e-mail to Pedersoli confirmed it. I hope they follow through.

If it has a walnut stock and 1730/1740 style banana lock plate it should be a big hit with the F&I crowd and will be a viable alternative to the India products. The marketing folks will probably decide to equip it with a steel rammer. It would be sweet if they would tool up with say the Rifle Shoppe 1742 parts and sell 'em for less than 1K$. You might find me standin in line for one!

Yeah, I'm hoping it will be inline with the prices of their 2nd model. Of course if they do come out with this I bet they'll be a lot of the 2nd models for sale at reasonable prices.
