I have 2 new Pietta's (1851 & 1860) that #10 caps won't even go on and #11's fit loose. What's up? Both caps are CCI"s.
I was about to say the same thing about Remington #10 caps. I've never seen them.I've never seen a Remington #10 cap, but CCI #11s fall off the factory nipples of my new Pietta '51 Navy. They fit perfect on Slixshots though.
Remington #10s and RWS 1075s seem to be effectively non-existent anymore, so quite frankly...The Remmington #10's are probably the correct sized cap. The RWS 1075 cap is slightly smaller than the CCI #11 cap and may fit better.
...it's best to just get the aftermarket nipples to accommodate CCI #11s, which seem to be the only caps even still being manufactured.I believe you'll be much happier if you replace your factory nipples with SliXshot nipples. They really do preform well.
not really a joke. I had to get new nipple for a new 1858 pietta. 10 or 11 were no goodJust seems odd that neither fits well. Do they have a metric cap size in Italy? Half joking here.
it must be recent cause my old pistols made by them no 10 caps fit perfectI don't think either Pietta or Uberti come with nipples that fit any available caps. That's probably a big reason why Slixsprings nipples are on the market.
Maybe these two manufacturers are trying to make nipples that are half-assed fits for all caps so that they can at least partially accommodate a few types.
I'd get those replacement nipples they sell.I have 2 new Pietta's (1851 & 1860) that #10 caps won't even go on and #11's fit loose. What's up? Both caps are CCI"s.
CCI #10 or Remington #10?it must be recent cause my old pistols made by them no 10 caps fit perfect
