I like it a lot! Tell us more about it. Rifled or smoothie? Caliber? I've not seen one like it before. Very nice looking gun!

Yes indeed its a great gun! Its an austrian 1851 M Augustin Percussion (segmentlock)pistol.70 cal.Walnut stock.Made in Hungary. They used this type of guns in the Austro-hungarian Army between the years of 1844-1859.Especially seen a great use in the Hungarian Revolution of 1849.Many of these guns as army surplus shipped to the US before the Civil War.The Confederate Army used them in great numbers.(muskets, pistols, carbines)
This gun will be available soon in North America.I'll keep you posted about it.

Hi Jurij,
You must make a trip to Budapest to get it.Its not far from you anyway.I cant place any ad on this forum, but if you can go,just take the picture of this gun with you and in the Capital go into the first gun store and ask around about it.
Cheers

Hi WB,

Can a stranger just walk to the first store and purchase one! :hmm: Is it that simple in Hungary? and you didn't nention the price. It is only 456,3 kilometers From Ljubljana to Budapest. :winking: Perhaps I will ask a firend of mine military attache of R Slovenia in Hungary to bring me one.

Hi Jurij,
Yes indeed, you just walk in for a cash and carry.Regarding to the hungarian firearms laws: You allowed to buy ML stuff without FAC.I'm not sure about importing them though to Slovenia.I'm not sure about the retail price just yet. What i know its around 5-600 bucks US,but I'll check if for you exactly and keep you posted.
Cheers

Hi Jurij,
These guns are entirely handmade and available in limited numbers. All signed by the gunsmith and bear the manufacturing and proofmarks.
You can get them for 615 Euro retail price at Kapszli Pont Gun Store in Budapest. The carbine version of this is a bit more pricey.
Cheers
