I wanted to show my new horn. I purchased it from Beaverman and then did a little chicken scratching on it.I used Ben Franklin's 'Join or Die' from the F&I era along with my birthdate [set back 200 yrs.] I am pretty pleased with it [was terrified of ruining a super nice left handed horn] but you all can judge.

Nice work. I have made many nice horns but I have my schrimshawing done by a friend who does much better than I ever could! :idunno:

Thank you all. I am pleased with how it turned out. I learned several things from doing this one.

Gee, not for nothing, but isn't your cartoon backwards?
And how many F&I powder horns used that cartoon during that era? (1754-1763)
I keep trying to learn more and more.

Gives the date and history of the orig. cartoon. I think it is safe to assume some put it on their horns during the F&I era.

Good eye, it is backward as it fit the horn better that way. I suspect some might have used it during the F&I War but even if not [and we never know for sure]...who cares? Thank you all for your comments. I am very pleased with it [only a few mistakes] and am looking forward to the next one.
