I just recently fitted a new .54 Rice barrel into my old rifle. Thought I'd make a new antler powder measure to go with it. This one holds 80 gr of FFg.

:hmm: boy, that thing be priceless around here..real antler??? OH MY!

SERIOUSLY! Big Antler Shortage Here!!! an I won't get into the Craftsman shortage!

Very Nice, Wick. What kind of antler, and how did you color it? Its difficult to get a perspective as to its size without it being pictured with something ubiquitous of known size.

Paul, it 4 5/8" long. The hole is 7/16" diameter. Whitetail deer, or maybe a mulie. The color is chocolate brown fiebings leather dye. I'm sure some of the color will wear away with use, but is easily touched up. Thanks guys.

Your creativity is astounding, Wick. :shocked2:
Wish I could go from mind to hands like you do !
Hope you didn't patent that design -- I'll be trying a copy/mod of that rascal !

Wick, that is absolutely superb work but, then again I wouldn't have expected nothing less from you! Man that thing is a beaut!

Look its a little late for my Christmas gift but my address is.................. :shocked2: :rotf:

Wick everything you make always is excellent! This is very nice looks almost as if you turned on a lathe

This was all by hand and eye. Not even a Dremel. 1/8" round file, 3/16" round file, and a common 10" or 12" flat ******* file for the octagon flats and knocking off edges. Thank you all for all the praise and comments, with the exception of Lonehunter. Anybody ever wonder why he goes by, "lone" hunter?
