New sight for an old TC Hawken

Hi all!
I’m finally rebuilding my TC Hawken. I’m removing most of the brass and replacing with iron from The Hawken Shop.
My question is about the rear sight, it’s un-notched. What size noch should I put in it?
I’m replacing the front sight with a silver blade .80 thick from TOW.

You will have to file it until you can see light on either side of the blade. How much depends on your personal preference. Depth makes less difference since you will primarily be using the top of the rear mated to the top of the front sight. Best to start narrow and work your way to what you want. It's hard to put it back once you've filed it away.
