James Gray just finished forging my second commissioned spontoon and it arrived this week. This one is styled slightly wider and a few inches shorter. I picked up a 19 inch Mo. River hawk handle and will get to mating them together this week if my schedule has room. I'm pleased as can be to be able to utilize and support a craftsman from our forum and recommend James's services. Here's a sneak peek of the blade as he was finishing it up. This one is smooth finished and will be fire blued and aged when done.

The blade is 5 and half inches with an overall length of 8 inches. The blade width is 2 and a quarter. Here's a couple pics of both side by side and the start of fitting the handle. Some filing and shaving and 'anti-qu-ing' are in order.

PS- we got our first snow dump today.

I am glad you like it Steve, it is always hard to drift the head to the size with out the handle. Now you have me wanting to make one.
