Well, I finally got it done today. The stock is from Pecatonica and is Grade 2. Finish is two three coats of Laurel Mtn Maple with five coats of Tru Oil.
I changed a couple of things. I replaced the T/C side plate with a hawken style side plate. I also slightly modified the T/C trigger.
I poured a pewter nose cap and also installed an entry pipe.
I also added a toe plate.
I also used the T/C butt plate, triggers, lock, wedge pin and escutcheons, and barrel. This is pretty much my first time working with curly maple. Wow, what a leaning experience. However, all and all I am pleased with how it turned out.
So, what do ye think? Thanks for looking.
