We had a small rondy at our club this weekend and I was able to buy a .45 cal Patriot that is pretty much new and unfired.A couple of handling dings and there was some bedding gunk in the lock that interfered with function.A bit of cleaning and we are good to go.I know they are not "authentic" but dang they are good shooters...

Congrats! I think they are sharp lookin and the adjustable sights would be nice. There's one on an auction board right now going for over $400! :shocked2:

How bout some pics? :)

Congrats, Paul! Although I personally don't have one of these fine pistols, several of my friends in our local BP League do. They are real tack-drivers and although you can shoot as little as 15 grains of FFFg, they really perform when you stoke-em up with 35-40 grains. At 25 yds. the knock-out the 10-X ring if you do your part :) .

One of these pistols usually wins the competition with a score of 93x100 or better  . The higher powder charges are most noticeable when it's windy...the ball spends less time in the air and is thus less susseptable to Mother Nature's wind gusts. Let us know how it shoots, now go make it SMOKE :) . All the best, Dave

Thanks for the comments guys.Sorry, can't do pics yet as we are not that high tech yet.The fellow had a 36 and the 45.Our club prez bought the 36 to match caliber with a rifle he has.Hope to shoot mine soon but the weather is going to be "interesting" here this weekend. Will post a report when I can.

Here's a pic off of a current auction - as mentioned, is now over $400! These must shoot really good :)

good looking pistol. Although TC is not available here in SA, a friend of mine has a lil .45 TC Seneca. They shoot REAL good!

Mines never been shot, better wood and still have the box someplace , guess I better find the box and unload it OVER 400 :shocked2: Fred :hatsoff:

I seen my buddy hit a squirel in a tree after the dogs treed it, twice with one, he hit it the first shot, but it didn't fall, so he loaded it and shot it again and it fell out. He rested against a tree for the shot. It was a 45. We were on our mules hunting with the dogs. He's gone now, We had alot of fun together. Dilly

Paul, congrats on the Patriot. They're a sweet shootin' gun! I wouldn't trade mine for anything on the market. I'm hoping to run into it's .36 brother at the Tulsa Arms Show this coming weekend.

The Tulsa Arms Show, mmmm good times....used to live there and was on the FNRA commitee with Joe Wanamacher for quite a few years.Good luck on your "quest",if you can't find one there it can't be found. And stop by the Tulsa Red Castle Gun Club booth and tell them "HI" from an old former member...

greetings osok,

that patriot is the early model. it has a 1-28 twist. the later model has a 1-48 twist, an easy way to tell them apart is, the later model has the brass nose cap on the stock the early model does not.

fortunatly i'm an old goat, so, got mine a looong time ago for less than $100 each. got all three models

..ttfn..grampa..
