WEll, I have my new rifle finished and ready to shoot!! I'm a little bit excited

.58, swamped 38" barrel. Tip proved me a rifle in "the white", and all I had to do was finish the wood and the metal to my liking.

I am extremely happy with this gun, and also extremely happy with my experience with Mr, Curtis. He was a great gentleman to talk to and a fast and efficient businessman.

Fine piece! I like it.
Did you pick it up in his shop or have it shipped?

I got a 50 cal. Flinter, from Tip when I was at Dixon's Fair, a couple years back. I finished mine very similar to yours. He takes care of the hard part, and leaves the finishing to individual taste.

Nice job, and Hoo-ra for Tip Curtis.

Thanks guys.

I had it shipped. I thought about going to the western in Phoenix to get one, but firgured the hundreds of dollars in gas that it would take could be applied to the gun.

I was really impressed with his customer service. He had my check in hand in 2 days, the reifle went the next, and was at my door in less than a week!!

Bill, I'll go elk hunting anytime!!

I'm gonna get it to the range next week, and I'll update here.

Very nice looking rifle! My brother has a .54 that looks very similar only his is iron mounted.
