I bought this 32 cal. rifle used from a buddy a month or so ago. Haven't done anything with it except give it a gentle cleaning and paste wax on the stock. I made the cleaning jag and will be making/acquiring some more "goodies" for it. Still have to fire it as other chores seem to keep popping up this time of the year.

Too much of that metal junk on it, but I'm now in the scrap metal business as of today, and I would take it off your hands :rotf:

NICE AND DOUBLE NICE.

Now that is one fine squirrel rifle! Hope you're planning on posting more photos! Beautiful gun!

I like it, who built it?
Mike, I have 2 stories....the guy who built it said it was from a blank, he is not a noted builder. My other friend (who BTW is gonna build my Beck rifle) that did the carving, engraving and silver work said he thought it was a pre-carve. He didn't want to sign it as it wasn't up to his "standards". I think he did a GREAT job in "rescuing" the rifle and I'm really pleased with it.
tg, the barrel is a 42" straight octagon Colerain, lock is Davis. I almost forgot, I did lighten up the frizzen spring and also the sear spring and now the trigger pull is much lighter, and the lock is noticeably quicker.

That sure is a beauty, but the lock is on the wrong side. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Basset

Okay, now you've gone and done it. You have gone and made me jealous. That is one sa-weet rifle. :applause: Congrats on a fine aquisition.

Understandable, seein as how the lock is on the wrong side of the stock! :rotf:

Just kidding, it's a fine lookin' rifle! :hatsoff:

Well, thanks guys for the fine words. Even though I didn't build the rifle, I am proud to own it. Also, knowing that two friends collaborated on the building makes it kinda special.

since the lock is on the left side, does that mean you're only allowed to shoot right- handed squirrels?

seriously- great looking rifle
