Well .......you can but .....that intense heat is kinda rough on the plantsI’ve seen those before, I thought they were for planting flowers in!
Sweet! I do mostly gas now but started with charcoal. I keep thinking about building a coal forge since I still have my Champion blower.Looky what I just picked up ! So cool !
Funny you'd mention that ....since Forged in Fire and the like these forged have gone to stupid prices .... I was finally to the point where I was gonna build a forge just like you said , I've been looking for awhile now ....then this just popped up ! AND it was $150 !! Swing !!!Sweet! That is a good price! I bought my anvil and blower before the Forged in Fire show and built a Tom Lively forge for making knives. That would have been 2006 or so. I find gas to be more convenient, but coal or charcoal forges is better for large work.Funny you'd mention that ....since Forged in Fire and the like these forged have gone to stupid prices .... I've never tried gas but just kinda like coal because its traditional . Forging tools are priced rediculously . There was a turee ( spelled wrong , but bottom of a forge ) and it was $500 ! Lordy ....Anvils are still in the rediculously stupid price range but no biggy . I have railroad track and it works just fine . I've had anvils in he past but since I dont do a lot of forging I never used them a lot . I dont do a lot of forging so I dont need a lot of equipment . Trigger guards are the regular forge work now ... I have a couple frizzens to work on too and some small stuff from time to time ...will be good to have the forge around .That is a good price!
