Just acquired a Green River Forge trade gun. 36 inch 50 cal. barrel and a twist that looks to be somewhere between 1:60 and 1:72. Really pretty rifle; nice wood, nice bronzy browning, oct-to-round barrel. Looks unfired. Got a really good deal because the dealer thought it was a Dixie import.

The only info I've found so far says that the company was in business from about 1971 to 79, when they were bought up by another company that soon folded. Locks were made by Lott with some changed internals. Barrel by Sharon.

Any info or opinions on the gun or the company? I'd post pictures but my camera died, and my Dollar General cell phone takes crappy photos
