Picked up a new Traditions Kentucky in 50 cal. at Sportsman Warehouse for 140.00 bucks.
I bought one last year but gave it to a friend for Christmas. This one is even nicer, real nice fit and finish and seems to shoot real good but i`ve only had a chance to shoot it three times.
This is going to be my companiob to my Blue Ridge frontier for deer hunting. :)

You will love it!!
I have one that I made from a kit, shoots sweet!!
Have fun with it and let me know how you like it.

Hi Pitchy,
Ive got one also, payed $160.00 for mine.
I use it as a companion for my traditions KY. rifle.

Thanks gents, they wanted 150 for it but it had a small ding in the handle so they knocked off ten bucks.

Sweeet!
I fired one just like it at the range last time I was there. Fellar shooting beside me had one. After admiring it he asked if I wanted to shoot it. Well of course I did! :rotf: :rotf:
Real nice pistol. Trigger on that one had a heavier pull than I like, but imagine that could be worked on.

Thanks. :)
I`m working on lightening the main spring now and the trigger has an adjustment for let off so it should turn out nice.

Lenn, Very nice looking piece. Good luck with it this coming up season.

Thanks Tony,i got the spring done and it is real smooth and light now. I also got a Uncle Mikes nipple for it. One of these first days i`ll see how she groups. :)

I am going to ask this question, so it won't be the stupid one, (the question you forgot to ask)! :rotf: :rotf:
What exactlly did you do to the spring to lessen trigger pull? Did you rebend it or file or what? In your second pic you show it installed so I am having a hard time figureing out what you done! Afterall I may want to do this myself one day! :blah: :rotf:

Yepper it`s hard too tell any difference by the picture, the top pic is a picture from Traditions web site of a factory spring.
I ground and filed at least half the width of the lower arm and tappered the top edges.
Had it out and in half a dozzen times till i got itwhere i liked it.
A replacement spring is only seven bucks so i don`t see much risk about changing it.
I`ll take the spring out and take another picture so you can see it better and i want to thank Paul for his advice. :hatsoff:

Thanks for the pic and the update!
Your welcome and let us know how it turns outif you do it too yours. Those springs are so dang stiff it takes two hands to cock it, no sense in that. :)
