I thought the members here would appreciate this. I own a Homer Dangler JP Beck style rifle that my father and I built for me back in 1993-94. After I got back into shooting this year, I noticed the vent hole had gotten pretty big. A machinist friend helped me replace the old vent hole liner with one from Jim Chambers. The new liner makes a world of difference. Much faster ignition than the old brass one. I took it to my local club shoot a few weeks ago, and honestly have never been able to shoot consistently as well as I had. Before, the ignition had been pretty finicky.
