I hear tell there are doins at the Newark Valley historical society this weekend June 4th and 5th. Displays an such, don't know very much really. Their havin their 2nd annual Jedediah Smith Mountain Man encampment as part of a spring thing. I'll be camped there and meeting a party of American Mountain Men outta Pennsylvania.
Free campin with wood and water provided, just have ta be willing to talk to the flatlanders an such. Gonna have shootin events and blanket tradin too.
Gonna be more primative then I ever have, iffin I can't take it in on by back, it ain't goin, (cept for some straw fer a bed, don't think they want me cutin their pine branches).
Don't know what to expect so I'll hope for the best.
