Newcomer more questions

My Hawken 50 caliber won’t fire anymore . It wouldn’t shoot when I first got it and then I cleaned it up real good and finally got it to fire . I shot it five or six times and then cleaned it . Now it won’t fire again . What should I try ? Thanks for any help I can get.

Did you store the rifle muzzle down to make sure oil did not pool in the fire channel?

Did you pop a couple of caps before loading to clear the fire channel?

Did you blow air through the fire channel to be sure it was clear?

Did you do anything to insure the fire channel was clear?

If the cap pops the problem is somewhere in the path leading to the powder. If the cap don't pop, the hammer isn't hitting it right.
A more detailed description of the problem would help.
