Hello everyone, I've been messing with black powder arms since I was a teen. Just likes shooting them over modern arms. My old room mate had been involved in a re-enactment group in my area and that introduced me to many a camp fire with wonderful people who enjoyed old traditions. My first BP gun was a .58cal HarpersFerry flinter. Didn't know much about it other than it was the coolest thing I owned at the time. Started shooting the lead my buddy was using in his .58cal Zuave till I bought my own bullet mould & made proper round balls. After messing with different patches, lubes & loades...That thing could shoot a nice clover leafe at 50 yards at the range! It's like I said earlier, it was the coolest thing I owned at the time! Only been hunting deer with BP for about 16 years & small game with my SxS 12ga. This year, Im going bird hunting this fall up north and thinking about bringing my .68cal Brass brl BlunderBus flinter just for kicks. Once its finish that is! I picked it up on a trade years back and finnaly decided to put it together. Yes its a "cheepo repro" but I intend to get my moneys worth out of it this fall while grouse hunting near Wawa Ontario. As they say...should be a BLAST!!! lol
