anyone know what the proper mixture of potassium nitrate "salt pretre", 1, four ounce bottle to what ? ratio or volume of water mixture you would use to nitrate paper for combustible cartridges im going to be using for 1837 nepalese brunswick smoothbore musket,

add water until the crystals are all dissolved.

Complete saturation. Warm water in a shallow pan, add and gently stir the saltpeter until no more will dissolve. After soaking your rag paper you can set the pan somewhere that the water will evaporate and you'll be left with crystals that you can reuse. I do it frequently.
