The NMLRA will be hosting a Black Powder Cartridge Weekend on June 29th - July 1st at the National range in Friendship, IN. This even will allow you to bring out the old black powder cartridge rifles, pistols, and shotguns & participate in shooting matches at any and all of our ranges. Matches will be held at our Main Range, Pistol Line, the Trap & Skeet Ranges, Offhand Line and over in the Primitive Area on the Woods Walk and Running Boar Ranges. Teh event registration is $20 and will include a ticket to a BBQ dinner held on Saturday evening. Additional dinner tickets are available for anyone not shooting as well, adults $10 and kids $5 for 12 and under.
All participants will need to register at the Target desk prior to shooting any matches. Only lead projectiles using black powder only loadings will be allowed on any of the ranges for this shoot. The only exception to the black powder rule will be that .22 cal. rimfire guns will be allowed using standard velocity ammunition. Also a cast bullet match will be held by Alan Shourd on the Offhand Line for military rifles and will allow smokeless powder loadings. Money Matches will be a 60/40 split with the 60% going back to the shooters in prize $$$!
We want this weekend's events to be a bunch of fun and allow folks to bring out the old black powder cartridge rifles, pistols, and shotguns to have something enjoyable and different for them to shoot at Friendship! To this end we have a great line up of novelty matches to be used on all of the ranges during the event weekend.
