I just had a friend tell me that it is illegal to carry a flask or horn while hunting in washington. Which to me seems like a big what the hell!? Anyone else heard this? I thought it was just a bad, stupid, suicidal idea to load straight from the flsk/horn, but not illegal to carry them while hunting... :nono:

Don't know anything about that but IF it turns out that it is hit up your local Bank for some coin wrappers. I generally use dime size for rifle powder loads, penny size for shotgun powder loads and nickel size for shot loads for my smoothbore. You can fold and glue one end then put in the load and fold and staple the other end. Then all ya' have to do it remove the staple and dump the pre-measured powder or shot charge down the barrel. :winking:

Frank........sounds like an updated version of the 'ol paper wrapped musket cartridge.
That's a clever idea to use coin wrappers

Get on line and check the state regs for yourself. Each state has a website for these regulations. They will state what is legal to carry and what is not. I think we have a listing of these state access sites in our links section?

You will probably find that your friend's eyes are turning brown.

I did a quick search of the WA hunting proc myself. Could find nothing that said anything like that. I think the guys eyes are beyond turnig brown and he is definately going to need to buy a new watch. :)

Call your local Fish and Game and get the information right from the folks who know. A lot of this type of info gets disseminated by folks who "heard it somewhere".

Thanks. The thing I like about it is that they're FREE. LOL. Can't beat that and using dime, nickel and penny you can keep your loads sorted out easier. I also put em' in a zip lock plastic bag so they don't get damp. If you're careful pullin' out the staple you can use em' many, many times before you need to make up new ones.
