Thought it would be nice to teach my wife to shoot b.p.,she has nothing to do at shoots I attend. This weekend after only 10 rounds of learning/practice I entered her in one event, 25yds. women's offhand, she won! then we entered the Couples match and won! Both at the N.H. State Championships. She now wants to know if she is the best at 25yds. in the area, oh boy!. :rotf:

If you enjoy being married, you better tell her "of course you are!" :rotf:

Not only is she the best in the area, but in the whole history of muzzleloading! :shocked2: Shoot high, or don't shoot at all!
Good luck
Pathfinder

p.s.did the same with my wife and now she WANTS me to build her a gun of MY choice! Life is good :)

I encouraged my wife to try the same thing. She said she was just as happy to just watch me and the Boys shoot and do her needlepoint .I kept on asking her to try it.....After much encouraging she finally gave it a try.

She was right...she was much better at needlepoint! :winking:
After a few half hearted efforts she gracefully said no thanks.

Congratulations to both of you! I showed my wife how to shoot muzzleloaders several years ago and she still enjoys shooting with me.

It wasn't until I taught her how to throw a hawk that I questioned my intelligence. Since she learned her new skills I've had to let her win every domestic discussion out of fear for my well being. :youcrazy:

Enjoy your new shooting partner.

Billy, ye done went and made a foolish error.

Ye can hide the Hawks but it will do you no good. A Cast Iron Frying pan has about the same balance and having one bounced off your head is no fun at all.
If you hide the frying pan, you may starve to death so your in a no win situation. :rotf:

If you want to keep her interested ML then do not have her come around this neck of the woods. We have some women that can really shoot. I thought that the only way that I would win at my club is if I dressed up as a woman and shot that way. After seeing how they shoot the only thing I will get is a participation ribbon and a few phone numbers. :haha:
Hope she enjoys it, and does well. :hatsoff:

tell her she is and keep takin her! I wish my bride would shoot with me she only does her cowboy gun and doesn't waiver much from there. I suppose I'm lucky she shoots .

Yes I am. I've not shot it before. I just did the spring shoot there and had a great time {and got real wet} I shot good though. The July shoot was always called Championships and I guess that scared me off. I'm gonna give a go this year

Hey John, what do you mean now what? Now you get to go and buy her a new gun and all the trappings!
Seriously, good for her, she might as well shoot when she goes to help you at the club.
