Every year my R/P club hosts Women On Target. The club is closed to members for the day.
The ladies get a chance to try all types of firearms, both the unmentionable and muzzle loading rifles. That is something I have done for 10 years now. I get them to shoulder and find the sights and try the double set triggers before I load my copy of a Hawken 50 calibre rifle. Orange clay birds are hung on a yellow backer. This year, I was supposed to have four additional RSO's to help. Only one showed up. Today was hot, temperatures in the 90's and high humidity.
The two of us were busy all day. The ladies showed great interest in the smoke and noise. Payment came in the form of big smiles when the clay birds disappeared. Target load of 40 grs Swiss FFFg, .010 prelubed patch and a .490 roundball.
The other RSO had one of those unmentionable front stuffers, but the ladies still enjoyed shooting his rifle.
Many iphones were present and many videos were taken. All in all, a fun time was had by all that attended.
