Fred, I can sharpen the bigger bits OK but once I get down to 1/8 inch or so I just can't seem to sharpen them that well. They come out better than they were but not much LOL. Maybe I can beg for a drill doctor from my wife for my birthday in May.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I ordered some replacements from MSC last night.
 
Have heard from a few people that the "Drill Doctor" works much better on the larger drill sizes and not so good on drill bits under 1/8".....Fred
 
It doesn't hold the real small bits well at all, but it does work for larger ones.
 
Thanks Stophel. I'm just going to have to learn to sharpen the little ones by hand! My new ones just came in so now I've got a couple of spares for each of the little sizes I regularly use. The last ones (that my local guy ordered for me) didn't even stay sharp for three RR thimbles so they are headed to the dump.
 
Not sure what size your using, I am using #52 for these.

I got a 12 pack of these last time from MSC, so far they are working good for me.
