Old original likely mid to late 19th century. It has birmingham proofs. Around a 15 or 16 gauge. I dont have a bore gauge, but my cheap calipers read around .680 at the muzzle.

It does have a repaired hammer, and the lock plates look like they were defarbed, otherwise its in decent condition. The bore is generally good, but not perfect. The barrel rings nicely when I checked that out.

I believe the ramrod is ebony, and I see no repairs to the stock, nor any need for any. The barrel locks in with no slop and the key is pegged and works very nice.

I truly doubt the J Dougall Glasgow tag is original, and have no idea who would have done that or even why.

I’m just describing this as I see it, and do think it’d make a unique and fun shooter, but please have it all checked over by an expert beforehand.

$450 obo plus shipping. Trades considered.
