Subject: Old Greenville and Bloomfield, Missouri Rendezvous
The dates for the two rendezvous listed above have been changed due to severe flooding at the Corps of Engineers Old Greenville Campground. It is currently underwater so it has become necessary to change the date.
The Old Greenville Black Powder Rendezvous will now be held October 4-5 with early set up at noon on Thursday, October 2, 2008. This was the original date for our Bloomfield Rendezvous.
The Bloomfield Rendezvous will now be held on April 19 -20 with early set up on Thursday, April 17, 2008.
As you can see, we have simply swapped the dates for our two rendezvous. The Bloomfield Rendezvous is held 1 mile south of Bloomfield on Route 25 across from the Veteran's Cemetery and the Stars and Stripes Museum.
It will have a blackpowder shoot on Saturday only and will be for blanket prizes. There will be water and wood and Ice available.
If you were planning on coming to the Greenville rendezvous, I cordially invite you to come to Bloomfield instead.

Please help us to get the word out. I realize that this is a late notice, but the Corps of Engineers just made the decision to not open the park until after May 1 last week. They kept hoping that the rain would stop and the water would go down.
