Do any of you remember back in the late 70's, early 80's, a TV mini series called Centennial, with Robert Conrad, Richard Chamberlain, and a bunch of other stars? I am trying to find it on VHS or DVD. Has anyone seen a copy of it anywhere, or are there any. Would like to add it to my collection. I have How The West Was Won, but it wasn't as good as Centennial, at least not to me.

Amazon.com has the 12 part mini series in VHS (DVD not advaiable yet), click the Purchase Muzzleloading Books & More at the top of this page to get a link to Amazon.com and go to the main store and click Centennial (VHS format) in their search...

Thanks Musketman. I think they are just a bit out of my price range though. Last time i checked they wanted $265 for it. Was looking for one a bit less than that. But appreciate the help. Take care.

Not Jack on box 9. It is Alex Karras. He was a pro footbal player at one time. Started out with Robert Conrad as a French trapper. Been a long time since i have seen it too. I think it was late 18th, early 19th century in the beggining, and progressed from there to more modern times, kind of like How The West Was Won.

Great series.

It sold for $100 when new, but it's now out of print.
Used Price: $265.00 (when you can find it)
Third Party New Price: $724.88

Check out your public library and if they don't have it, ask them to get it via Interlibrary loan. SF Public Library has an entire set.

Gary, thought about that and tried it today in fact. They can't get them from any of the libraries in the county we live in. Good idea though. If i could have done it then i could have made copies of them for myself. If anyone out there has the mini series on tape and wants to make a copy of it it, i would be interested in buying it.

OK...I have it on tape when it first came on. It is a bit choppy and i messed up in places. Anyway...I am in the process of putting my WHOLE collection of VHS tapes on DVD giving away the tapes or throwing them out.....if interested, let me know. It will be a while before I get to that tape, but its time will come. :what:

Gary,

Great idea! I just checked out the entire series from the San Anselmo Library. (SF north bay)

You can borrow for a week at no charge. :RO:
