Old Red Winchester Stain ?

Does any one have the formula for the old "Red" Winchester stain/ Got a buddy on a other site that had it and lost it. He said on the other site:

{{If anybody has the formula for the old "Winchester Red" stain, I'd sure like to have it.}}

Any one that has it or something real close I would appreciate if you post it. Jim

Try out www.winrest.com, this is about as close to Winchester as you can get and it's a darn good finish also.

Thanks Ill pass it on but I think he was looking for a recipe to make it. Like I said he had one and misplaced it. Jim
