There was a nice mix of new and old. I took a rifle to sell and sold it, to the guy that checks guns, on the way in. Picked up two items and had a good morning. Show runs 24th & 25th. Bob.

Agreed - GREAT show!

As a 'newbie' to all this though, I at first was a little concerned that most of the sutlers trading wares seemed to be of the older generation. Then I turned the corner to the next row of tables and almost got balled over by 'young'uns' dressed complete in 18th century garb. Pretty cool and cust kids too! Oh yeah, there were a few ladies dressed in Indian dress that would take your eyes off the target too, but I hear Maine forbids the use of the word 'Squaw' as being derogatory. I did not know that ... they allegedly interpret it to mean an indentured servant.

Anyway, at one of the first tables, there was a couple who have been trading for +35 years and decided to clean out the stock. Once she found out I was new to this world' she took me around her wares and sold me everything (less their guns & hats) on the tables for $1 each. She couldn't have been nicer and all she asked in return is that I introduce a youngster to this sport. I sure will!

I walked out with a new powder horn, a priing hord, a cow's knee, wool sash, wool liberty cap, wool mittens, spool of suade lacing, assorted sized ball bags, and so much more I can't remember.

Kuddos to the man on the stage wearing period dress who was teaching the kids how to throw a tomahawk!

All in all it was a good show and I plan to be there next year :hatsoff: !

I guess I missed that one. I have heard about it being a really great show. Right now, I have this grad school project that is driving me crazy and it takes a lot of my spare time out of my life.
