I'm having a Brooks cannon barrel built, to be bored 1.032 inches. I'm looking for a round ball bullet mold in a one inch size, and having little luck. Anyone know where I can buy one or have one made?

Right now, I might have found someone who can make a maximum size ball mold of .940 inches. Would this have a deleterious effect on ballistics. Compound to be used is 90% lead, 5% each of tin and antimony.

Thanks for any advice.

Thank you; I have just ordered from ballmoulds.com. The business is now run by James Tanner, the son, Jeff having passed a few years back.

The project is an M1841 mountain howitzer in 2/5th scale. I'm having the barrel and wheels made for me, and I will fabricate the pack carriage.

Mine 1.25 in bore fires a 6oz lead ball and my 1.5in bore cannons use a 8oz lead ball, got my molds from a fishing supply store.

You should be fine with a .940 ball, just use wadding

Thanks for all comments. Mr. Tanner has shipped a one inch mold to me; unfortunately, it has been mired in US Customs for the last week.
