Hey to all the folks out there. I am really excited I found this Forum. I have been shooting for years conventional style. HaHa I was always curious about shooting black powder guns and decide to just buy me one. I bought a new 1860 Army and I am really thrilled. It feels and shoots like a pistol should. I have an 1858 Buffalo SS on the way also. I just could not resist having both. HeHe
I am looking forward to learning all I can about this sport and visting with you fine folks along the way.

Welcome to the Forum John, several Texans and lots of BP revolver shooters here (including me I have the 'Buffalo' '58) good luck, Blizzard :hatsoff:

A big Texian howdy & welcome to the forum sir! :hatsoff: Git down off your hoss & set a spell!

Thanks guys I feel really welcome here.
I went out and shot some this evening. I sure am enjoying the BP pistol. Heck I think it shoots better than I do. HaHaHa I used the hot soapy water cleanup tonight and that was way easier than the BP solvent I used last time. A little canned air and a good lube and I was done. I hope. HaHaHa Glad to hear a 58 Buffalo owner jump in. I studied up pretty hard and decided that was the one I needed or should I say wanted. HeHeHe
I need to add a little bio soon. I just turned 50 so I have to think a little harder about the past and sometimes the present. :haha:
Seems like when I put something new in my head I have to throw something out. HaHaHa
Thanks again,
John

Hello snake-eyes and thanks.I will sure contribute when I can.
Hey Parson. I live in Childress. It is right in the southeast corner of the Texas Panhandle.
I used to hunt alot with a friend down in the Hill Country and also down close to the Mexico border.
The hunting has gotten so good up here now you don't really have to leave the county. HaHaHa

Hi, and welcome! Glad you found the forum, lots of good folks live here. Emery
