Opening day here in Mich. Was able to route my service calls to end up in the area I hunt early, and its pouring rain,ALL DAY! THUNDER,LIGHTING! :cursing: Won't have another chance to hunt till Sunday, this sucks :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: Pathfinder

Ye ain't alone - season started here Saturday - it was windy and hot, swatting mosquitos, the deer were sacked out deep in the woods in the shade. Sunday rain, wind. Monday morning O.K. - saw two but, couldn't get a clear shot w/ my flinter. Then - 6 hours ahead of the forecast, the rain moved in again - caught me 3/4 of a mile from the truck, got pretty much soaked. Shot out my flinter after carrying it all that way in the rain - guess what - it went off just fine, a little slow but it would have done the trick on a deer. It looks like it will be Thursday before this weather pattern will settle down enough to do any decent hunting.
