Today I ordered my GPR cap rifle in .45 cal. In GE is the problem that most ML only in .45 available because hunting with ML is not common, so bigger cal. not needed. If you want another cal. you have to buy a change barrel. I will do so and order a cal. 50. So I think I'm well dressed for ML-hunting.

I love both of my GPRs! I have the .50 percussion and the .54 flintlock. Both are well-made, reliable and accurate. I think you will be very satisfied.

I didn't know GPRs were available in .45 caliber anywhere. All I ever heard of were .50 or .54 unless they had an aftermarket barrel.

You might consider the .54 if you intend to hunt the larger species of game animals. Just for a bit more punch. :hmm:

In GE .45 is the most common ML-caliber, because there are no hunters only sportsmen shooters. So I ordered cal .45 and will buy a change barrel in .50. I have already a Investarm Hawken in cal.54. This rifle I use for my first steps in ML hunting in GE. Accuracy is very well, also price and handling.

Congratulations! You should be very happy.

It's interesting to me that you ordered it in 45, because we can only get it in 50 and 54 here in North America.

As I told above. Cal .45 is most common in GE because we have only less ML hunters here. For me cal. 50 would be the minimum for a "right ML", so I ordered a change barrel too. The worst thing is that the rifle will be available at the end of december.Until this I have to use my .54 Investarm Hawken.

Great gun. I have two (2) of them. I can set up several confirurations. My favorite for target work is open sights on the green mountain 40 cal drop-in barrel. I got mine from track of the wolf.

I ordered mine from www.stopper.de, it is a german sportshooter trader. But have to wait until end of december. Price is very interesting, only € 285,- about $ 320,00.
