Today I ordered my .45 perc. KY pistol and it is already shipped and on the way.Think I'll have it on monday. It is from Ardesa (European brand of Traditions).

Good choice. I just got my Traditions 50 cal flintlock Kentucky a couple of days ago. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I was surprised by the fit and finish for such an inexpensive pistol.By the way what part of Germany are you in?

Now I'm living in southern bavaria, but I grew up near Grafenwöhr Training Area in the Upper Palatinate!

I do believe you will have some fun with that at the range. Out of curiosity, what is the status of cap and ball revolvers? Are they popular in your country for black powder shooters?

Unfortunately the cap and ballers are not free because they are not singleshot. So you need a permission and therefore you have to shoot in a club for 12 months and make a gun handling and saftey course. So much more to do as with a single shot pistol, which is free to get for people of 18years age.
