I've already got barrel and lock and triggers inletted. My flash hole liner is exactly where the pic here on form shows. Setting sun
My question is the 6 brass pointed ovals. I assume they are for barrel pins. I'm thinking silver and maybe none. Do you like the 3 inlays on each side of the fulstock or none.

Ok I said it was perfect now I'm double thinking. I'm waiting on the liner yo get here. Got two cause I've got a fusil on the way.
OkIf you draw a line across the pan does the hole in the liner split that line or just the 6 o clock position of the hole set on the line?

My drawings are bad but I'm sure you get it.
Which drawing shows correct flash hole position #1 or #2

I don't mean to be rude but you've created 20 topics in the past 6 days. Why not create one build topic and post all questions in there. Will be a better reference for any future builders looking for information.

I draw a line across the top of the pan, and a line along the bottom curve of the pan on the barrel. Then I center the touchhole at a "sunset" position right on that line. You example in #2 looks about like that.

I agree with Bushfire you should post these in one post and I would suggest you use "The Gun Builders Bench". Here's an example post I have going now:

There was a very scientific study done by a guy online (someone will know what I'm referring to) where he moved the touch hole high , low, forward, backwards and in all test the difference was below the level of human perception. Same with priming away from touch hole or towards the touch hole ; and priming with 2F or 4 F. His basic conclusion was it's all very over thought by shooters.
