Coming up in May 5, 6 & 7 in Philomath, Oregon. This year will see the start of an English Fowler or Officer's Fusil. Demonstrators will demonstrate the design process, construction and decoration of a flintlock. Demonstrators will be drawn from talented individuals on the West Coast (of course, if well known gunsmiths from back East or MidWest show up, they'll be handed an apron and told, "Git to work!"). The product, which will take several fairs to complete, may be raffled off in a future fair.

The fair starts on Friday evening and continues 9-5 on Sturday and 9-1 on Sunday. Cost is $35 and includes pastries and coffee on Sat & Sun, lunch & dinner on Saturday. You can bring a sleeping bag and mat if you want to sleep in the shop.

For more information, contact Gunmaker Ron Scott (who has been featured in Wallace Gusler & Mark Silver's show, "Three Centuries of Tradition") at 4730 W. Griffin Cr. Rd., Medford, Oregon, 97501.

I'll be there in case you've got rotten eggs, spoiled tomatoes and road kill to dispose of. They all go into a Dutch Oven that I'll use to brew up my special Dead Dude Soup. :blah:
