I have for sale another one of my projects that I'm thinning out. I bought this original barrel and stock at auction, no lock. They advertised it as a Bannerman's Foragers Shotgun built from surplus Civil War parts. It was scrubbed of any ID marks back in the day and I have no doubt it was built from a war surplus rifle or parts but I can't say it if is a Bannerman's product or not. The barrel I'm sure is a cutdown 1861 Springfield and bored smooth.
The stock is walnut with an old school repair at the forearm, There is a tight crack at the butt stock and a few tight cracks at the forearm. Overall a solid stock, especially for 150+ years old. An 1863 Springfield lock will fit tightly but would need with some inletting. An 1861 lock may drop in. I didn't don't have an 1861 lock to try.

I'm asking $225 plus actually shipping cost. If interested please contact me by private message.

The Details: Barrel is a 33" OAL smoothbore with .600 bore diameter. I've removed the breech plug and scrubbed out the barrels hard grease down to bare metal, it is ready to be honed. This is a beefy barrel with a lot of metal, the breech plug and barrel threads are undamaged and reinstalled with anti-seize. The nipple and bolster threads are also clean and undamaged. The stock is untouched as I bought it. Please see the photos.

Thanks,

O.R.
