Took a trip to the East coast. Went to Yorktown and did a battlefield tour. These are OUR war trophies that we won from the British when we defeated them at Yorktown and General (British) Cornwallis was so embarrassed by the loss that he had his second in command give Washington his sword in surrender. Thus ending the American Revolutionary War. These were displayed at Surrender Field. The last 2 photos are of a cannon that was hi by another cannon leaving a dent on the barrel. Can only imagine the sound that it made when the cannon ball hit it square on .

The Chelsea Barracks veteran's home in London has a number of our Flags taken during the War of 1812. Priceless! You had a fun trip! Thanks for the photos!
